Part of my contractual obligation with C&T is to set up a monthly newsletter to post updates on the book progress, so here is my first installment:
We're busy putting together the last few project quilts. Greg has sewn two of the project quilts. He willingly takes home a stack of my fabric, a pattern rough draft and in a few days returns a finished quilt top. It's the most amazing thing. Many friends (Jane, Dani, Connie, Barbette, Carolyn, and Sandy) have graciously taken on a pattern to sew up projects for my gallery section. Vi already has panels started for a project waiting for me to get her a pattern.Sharon has also volunteered to help which means a lot to me. I'll be accosting her with a pattern as soon as she returns from Florida. How blessed I am!
So far, Michael Miller Fabrics, Blank Fabrics and Choice Fabrics have made generous offers of fabric donation for inclusion in the project quilts.
The first chapter manuscript is due 8/5/16, complete manuscript 10/3/15 and the quilts are all due in California for their photo shoot on 11/15/16.
After that, the publisher will take about a year to do book designing, final editing and printing.
I'm extremely pleased and excited to jump into another book project...and away we go!
